Nyna Nelson RN-CS, FNP, GNP
Nyna Nelson, RN-CS, FNP, GNP has been dedicated to the health profession for the last 20 years, initially working with patients in high-risk maternity, high-risk perinatal, labor and delivery room, and recovery room.
Her experience spans the areas of holistic practice, alternative health, difficult to diagnose fibromyalgia, and an out-of-the-box approach to looking at health care. The impetus for staring an alternative health practice in 1999 stemmed from a specialty in geriatric health care and an understanding that preventative health care could also accelerate longevity and add quality to life. With a firm belief that this is the direction health care is going, Nyna branched out to work with patients more directly in the field of her real passion – a unique and systematic approach to total wellness. Nyna’s commitment is that “Every person is unique and responds best to individual care. Therefore emotions, lifestyle, family history, environmental stress, nutritional status and general physical state are all carefully evaluated.” Nyna is passionate in her purpose to enable her clients to facilitate their own health miracles. Utilizing Eastern and Western belief systems, she is able to focus emotionally and spiritually on each person who comes into her office. “I endeavor to assist anyone wishing to have their improved wellness enhance their current vision of who and what they want to be in this lifetime. With this approach, I look forward to helping you along your own unique path.” In addition to her work at Alternative Wellness Solutions, Nyna Nelson has made multiple appearances on PBS’ California Chronicles, and is a guest lecturer for the Lupus Foundation of Sacramento, California Head Start Association, and UC Davis’ FNP/Physician’s Assistants Programs. Nyna is dedicated to educating fellow health care facilitators in the field of bio-identical hormone replacement therapy and lectures around the greater Sacramento region. Nyna also gives free seminars on bio-identical hormone replacement therapy periodically for the lay-person interested in looking for alternative health solutions for themselves.
